It’s strange how I publish some lenses really quickly, while others sit around waiting for me to get to them… I just made a new lens on Bananaman. It was so quick and easy that it practically made itself!
The strange thing is that I’ve started all of my lenses off by thinking ‘ooh, that’ll be a good one to do, I can make a great lens on that!’ Yet on some the motivation just doesn’t seem to last…
I think I have to re-think some of the WIPs I’ve had sitting around for a while. Sure, I haven’t had much time to spend on Squidoo for the last week, so nothing much has got done on any of my lenses… but I definitely think an ultimatum of some sort is in order! If I don’t get them published in a reasonable amount of time then I’ll just have to delete them!
Now, I wonder what a ‘reasonable amount of time’ is…

You are a step ahead of me. Every time I turn around I see a new idea for a lens but I have not made it to starting a bunch. So far, I have been able to start one and see it through to some sort of ‘completion.’ Granted, lenses are always a work-in-progress!
I am currently working at my lens, Jingle Bell Time ~~ Christmas Music Past to Present, trying to make it as good as possible for the holiday season.
I do not think you should delete a lens just because you have not finished it. If you think the lens has merit, I do not think it should matter if it takes a while for you to finish it.
There’s another blog posted today from Victoria Neely about deleting your lenses although she is referring to completed ones.

I’ve just had a look at a couple of your lenses, they’re fantastic! I’m not sure that any of mine are as content-rich as your Christmas Music one!
I tend to put in the basic content then publish them because I get impatient… but then I do make sure I go back and change things later.
I’m working on cleaning out some of my WIPs this weekend, so… fingers crossed!
